The making of unique work is at the focal point of move at Bennington.

Each feature of this extraordinary project—specialized practice, improvisational and compositional examination, associate and staff cooperation, interdisciplinary examination, generation and execution—attempts to grow your comprehension of the inventive procedure and extend your consciousness of the association of psyche and body. Investigation of move in history places imaginative work in a social connection.

In the First-Year Dance Intensive, you start making moves promptly. More than four years, you are persistently required in making and performing new work, whether your own particular or somebody else's. At the week by week Dance Workshop, understudies of all levels join our full staff to appear and react to works in advancement. Whether move is key to your instruction or a fringe interest, you are welcome to make work, show it, discuss it, change it, and perform it once more. Everybody is urged to work in all parts of creation.

Our staff of famous expert choreographers and artists are knowledgeable in various contemporary structures. Visitor craftsmen and graduate colleagues come to Bennington from various foundations, styles, and societies, and have taught an extensive variety of classes. These have included West African, Caribbean, and Butoh close by remarkable and shifted Western contemporary move rehearses.
